I not only go for the good breakfast food at Cafe del la Barra, but the atmosphere is never the same twice. From the smoking policy, to a stray dog possibly finding its way in and then the owner with a plate of pancakes trying to shoo the puppy out, inconsistent service, great breads and good coffee, and my favorite is the decoration.
They have kept the original flooring (as seen below) and tin ceiling. Plants are on little wooden stools at the entrance, and I love these four dish-cup lights that are right above the counter. I may try to put a light like this together at some point. It's such a good re-use of old dishes and fits in with the morning bistro feel they have.
